I’ve been taking care of my mom for several years. During this time, we would have spa days. As her illness progressed, she couldn’t sit through having her nails filed due to the vibration. I tried just about everything I could think of to keep her nails trimmed. But, I couldn’t find anything to smooth the nails that she could tolerate.After doing a search for filing nails for those with Dementia, I found the answer on a board… Glass nail files. I don’t know about you, but I had never heard of these.These glass files come beautifully individually packaged in their own case. They can be used in a back and forth motion unlike a regular nail file which is one direction only. The price is very reasonable for 5 especially when compared to 1 metal file. The thickness of the file takes a little getting used to but you’ll quickly adapt.Finally, I found a nail file that mom was more than happy to let me use. She didn’t seem to be bothered by any type of vibration on her hand which I believe is why she didn’t like the old method. I was able to quickly get rid of sharp edges. Making it safer for her and for me. We were able to restart our spa days.Thank you for providing such a well needed and beautiful product.

To no fault but my own, they are glass and I’m clumsy. But they are the best and only glass files I will get. I broke my last one and I bought a glass file from Walmart. I was thinking, wow, the grit is awesome. I had it by my bedside so I filed in the dark when I had a rough edge that prevented me from falling asleep. Yes, I have OCD. Pretty soon after, it was filing. When I looked at it in the light, I saw that it was just a coating. That surprised me.I didn’t know that they made some like that. Now, I won’t trust any others. I have metal files if I want a grittier file to file quicker or get done faster. These files are perfect for everything. They work on skin, on real nails and on fake nails. They don’t wear down. They last until you drop them and they shatter. So I will continue to get these. I was thinking of trying out others but changed my mind. I don’t want to waste my time or money. So, I am getting these once more.
