    Works as Expected, Value is Comparable to Other Options

    I ordered the Ohora two way magnetic stick and it works well and performs as expected. What I received is a slim, lightweight 2-in-1 magnetic nail tool with two magnet ends for two different effects. One end is designed to creates a straight cat-eye line and the other does a wave pattern. The construction is sturdy like a thick pen and the device feels ergonomic enough in hand to offer precise control. I say that as a person who shaky hands sometimes.To use this implement, you’ll want to hold either end about 5mm above freshly applied magnetic polish for around 30 seconds to pull the iron particles into defined patterns. The magnetic field is precision engineered to work in this exact capacity and it concentrates the particles into polish into creative designs that catch and refract light in interesting ways. I’ve not succeeded with the wavy end, however, but I’m fairly amateur at nail art still. There is a learning curve and it gets easier to use once you get the distance and timing down, but it definitely takes practice.Overall, I feel the value for the price point is appropriate for this dedicated magnetic nail styling tool. The quality is as expected, it does what it claims it will in its advertisement on the Amazon marketplace, and can help you achieve cat eye style nail looks at home. Recommendable if you already use magnetic gel polishes and want more control over pattern placement, it’s not life-changing, but is effective. : )

    Perfect for at home cat eye manicures

    I recently had my first cat eye manicure and I was so intrigued! My nails were far too short to really show off a cat eye manicure, so I’ve wanted to try again when I let my nails grow. So I was excited to be able to get a magnet for home use.I like that this magnet wand is two sided for a variety of designs. You paint the nail with the special polish and then hold the magnet over it to draw the magnetic particles into a line or a wave for an extra special effect.I’ll be practicing with this to get my technique down, and I’m a nail novice, so I imagine it’ll take a bit. But I’m excited to have one of these for home use. This feels well made and durable and is the perfect size to hold over your nails without being too large or heavy.

    Magnetic Nail Art Made Easier

    This is a big upgrade from the tiny cylindrical magnets that came with my magnetic gel polishes. The longer handled design is much easier to hold and gives me way more control when I’m trying to create a pattern. My favorite of the two styles is definitely the wave effect, but I find the straight-line effect might be a bit better for shorter nails. The main thing is don’t rush it. If you move too quickly or don’t hold it steady enough, the design can end up looking a little sloppy. Take your time and hold it in place, and you can get a really nice cateye effect. This is a handy nail art tool to keep around and is much easier to use than the little magnets I’ve tried before.

    This is great for the new trend of magnetic nails! This does not work with regular nail polish. It must be used with nail polish that has magnetic abilities in order for the effects to happen.I have watched tutorials for how to get cool designs. Sure, it’s fun to play around with this to get. Feel for how it can be used, but tutorials have taken it one step further. This thing can work cute bits of magic!It has been a great tool to add to my arsenal of manicure and pedicure tools I keep at home. I used to be scared to try this trend, thinking it would not look right, but having the right tool helps!!

    I’m relatively new to gel polish and have very little experience using magnets with cat-eye polish. I already had a magnet like the long rectangular one on this stick, but the dual magnet end is something I’d never thought of, and it makes it really easy to create a cool zig-zag or wave design. The tool itself features a slim, lightweight 2-in-1 design that feels like a sturdy pen in hand, offering precise control over pattern placement on every nail.The magnets are strong, so you don’t have to try multiple times to see the effect. Just hold either end about 5mm above freshly applied magnetic polish for roughly 20 to 30 seconds to concentrate the iron particles into crisp, vivid patterns that catch the light. While there is a slight learning curve when getting the distance and timing down—which takes some concentration for me—it definitely beats struggling with tiny cylindrical magnets. Once you hold it steady, voila. Flash cure to freeze the particles in place.The magnet is advertised as being usable with Ohora’s magnetic nail care polishes, but I can’t seem to find them. Maybe they haven’t been released yet, but I can’t wait to try them. I had no idea there was magnetic regular nail polish! Overall, it’s a very handy and effective addition to a home nail kit.

    Great tool for straight lines, French, and waves

    I’ve been on an eye-cat streak for the past year. I do my own nails, and people agree I have become quite good at it. Eye-cat nail polish is perhaps my absolute favorite of the modern nail wonders: it is easy to create something truly unique and beautiful, which looks breathtaking on nails.I have been using only one magnet this whole time, the regular barrel one which excels at bringing up magnet particles to the surface for a wide overall shine. This is my second (and third, I suppose, since it’s 2-in-1?) addition to the magnet collection.Here is what you should know about the magnets overall: they are not interchangeable, and different magnet shapes leave different patterns. I have discovered that through trial and error. This magnetic stick, for example, is not good for trying to create an overall shine and depth like a barrel magnet. But it is perfect for other projects. The long rectangular end will quickly create a straight line; you can also tilt it sideways and chase the particles to create a sleek French. The double-magnet crossed end creates waves on your nails – and oh it is so pretty! Check the pictures and the video of me doing exactly that.Overall, this is a good item for those who are seeking to venture into or expand their cat-eye design. It is working as expected, and doesn’t take up any space in the storage. I recommend it.
