    I have had thin, peeling nails for years. They would start to grow out and as soon as they got any length to them they would peel apart and I’d be back to square one. Then because they had already peeled, they would grow out very thin and would be flexible and useless. Don’t recall how I came across the idea of the crystal nail file but once I found it, it seemed like it couldn’t hurt to try as it would be a cheaper easier solution to the problem then buying all sorts of nail supplements or polishes, etc. My nail file showed up about a month ago and I got to using it right away. Holy moly this thing is great! Not a single nail has peeled since I’ve been using it and since I’ve been diligent about keeping my nails moisturized and buffed these past few weeks the results are amazing. My nails are smooth and longer than they’ve ever been without polish. This is a great nail file for anyone wanting to go all natural with their nailcare. Add a cuticle cream and a two sided nail buffer to this and your nails are all set! Oh, and yeah – it’s glass, so of course it’s going to break if you drop it, just like any other thing made out of glass. So just be careful. It’s worth it.

    My favorite – but pricier

    I discovered glass nail files in a souvenir shop on vacation and the little one I got had been handpainted/decorated and was pricey. I came home a purchased some bigger ones on Amazon and the OPI was one of them. I really don’t want to use anything else, now. I haven’t broken one yet, but have given several as gifts.My favorite is this OPI. I had also purchased the Premium Nail Art Quality Manicure Crystal Glass Nail Files Set of 5 by Cheeky. Those each come in a little plastic sleeve. The OPI comes in a clear plastic tube with a cap, where I still keep it.They are the same length, but the Cheeky ones are a bit thicker/heavier and a coarser grit. The OPI one is lighter & a finer grit that I prefer. You do get just one for the price of 5 Cheeky ones.If you are experimenting with a glass/crystal file, you might want to start with the cheaper ones. But if you don’t like them so well, it is worth investing in this one. Mine has lasted 1.5 years, keeping it in the tube and keeping it at my home office desk where I do my nails. I still have to use the pink boards to smooth ridges in my nails, but if I use a regular emery board now, it feels so grating. I really love using the the glass/crystal ones.

    Amazing! I am so glad I found this!!!!!

    I have always had the hardest time with my fingernails and toenails. My fingernails are very weak and soft, and they split easily. I keep them very short because I don’t like to play the piano with much, if any, nail extending past the bed. It is not uncommon for me to clip in too far. Filing with a metal file is hard on my nails, and leaves them feeling funny. My toenails are the complete opposite of my fingernails. They are not soft, and are difficult to cut.This file has been a Godsend. I have not cut my fingernails for three weeks now. Simply filing them a couple of times a week keeps them short enough for me to play the piano comfortably, and I don’t have to worry about clipping down into the quick. The file leaves them smooth, without the shredding that occurred with the metal file. I have been treating a severely split nail (way down into the nailed) for several months now. Finally I was able to smooth out the split place and it is no longer catching on things. The file has worked equally well on my toenails. For the first time my toenails are straight across, without any chips or splits.     Fast and perfect for brittle nails

    This is one of the best nail files I have ever used. I don’t like cutting my nails and they are brittle and tend to break a lot. The file makes it easy to make the nails short…without any breakage…it takes less time to file nails then the usual files available. The price is on the higher side but it does the work perfectly.

    Excellent product!

    I had been using the same glass nail file for years and wanted to replace it because the top of it was broken. This file is really excellent and better than then one I had before! Great quality and I like the packaging which I’ve kept to store it when not in use. My previous file had a little black velvet pouch; this one doesn’t which is a shame. But overall super happy!

    Have used this nail file for years and love it!

    A family member gave me an OPI crystal nail file 16-17 years ago and I have used it ever since. I have really fast growing and hard nails, so I’m constantly filing them. I’d never go back to using the cardboard files again unless OPI quit making the crystal kind. Then a month or so ago, I accidentally dropped the old OPI nail file on our tile bathroom floor and it broke in half. The individual pieces were still usable, but my husband found a replacement on Amazon and ordered it for me. I’m so happy to have a new one. Just make sure that you don’t do what I did and drop it on a hard surface. I took one star away for sturdiness, because it is made of crystal and will break if you drop it. I think my husband paid full price for it and I have not been paid for my review!

    Great file for guitarists

    I’m a guitarist, so my nails on my picking hand need to be in good condition, and this nail file does the job way better than any previous file I’ve used. I feel like I have had fewer issues with broken nails since using this regularly. Also it just feels nice. Would highly recommend.

    TOTALLY different!

    My nails started splitting and chipping, and I realized it was happening shortly after I had filed them. I decided to look for a new file to see if my old trustworthy file was the heart of the problem. I thought $15 was an absurd price, but I know OPI has great knowledge of nail health, so took the dive…WHOA! Totally different than my 2-sided metal file I’ve used for years. This file is incredible, and my nails are healthier and smoother than ever, without having to use 2 sides for a cleaner feel. No splitting or chipping any more.

    Works like a charm!

    Comes in a plastic tube so protected whether for travel or storage. Works much better than emery boards. You can file in either direction. Each pass is more effective than emery and it is two sided…rough and smoother. I will never go back to emery boards. Obviously,treat it gently. It is glass.

    Buona lima per unghie. Lavabile e riutilizzabile.

    Ottima lima per unghie. Lavabile con acqua e sapone neutro. Non aggressiva. Dura nel tempo. Non mi ha sfaldato né scheggiato le unghie. Occorre un po’ di manualità per utilizzarla al meglio.
