Great scent & moisturizes well
I’ve really enjoyed using this beard oil! The aroma is great. The product description says it’s bergamot and sandalwood, but for me I just noticed it was a complex yet masculine scent that I enjoyed.The oil also does a great job of absorbing in and hydrating my skin and facial hair. It doesn’t leave my beard feeling oily at all. I appreciate that it’s a mix of oils from nature — no unpronounceable chemical ingredients here!At $16 for 1 oz, it’s on the expensive side, but it does seem like a simple yet high quality product. It makes me want to see what else Samson’s Haircare has that I might enjoy using.

Decent quality, authentic fragrance, smooths and moisturizes well
It’s tough to find an authentically-scented sandalwood beard oil as there are too many that are synthetic or chemically-derived and some are just downright unpleasant. I’m happy to say this oil smells good, not too overpowering and lingers for just the right amount of time. It noticeably softens my beard hairs and left a nice glossy sheen, but more importantly it leaves the skin underneath feeling nourished and hydrated. The itch I sometimes get if I don’t moisturize under the beard is no longer present after using this oil, therefore I am quite pleased with the quality and price of this beard oil.

Moisturizing
My husband has used a lot of beard oils. Homemade ones, synthetic, drug store brands…etc. This oil is higher up on the quality scale and not too bad on price for a good oil without all the chemicals. I love the smell, it’s not super original but very comforting. It is strong before you even open the lid but it tones down quickly on the skin. He says his itchy beard has gone away and it leaves his skin feeling moisturized without making it oily. It’s simple and effective. I believe it’s a good purchase.

Very nice scent!
I’ve been through my share of beard oils and this brand is really nice. It does a good job of softening and relaxing my beard hairs. The best I can describe the smell is like baby powder or shaving cream with a hint of lemongrass or citronella. I know it sounds weird, but it’s the best way I can describe it and it smells really nice. Five drops are said to be all you need, my beard takes a little more than that, but I ain’t mad at it. It leaves my beard smelling great and feeling soft for about 12 hours before the scent is gone. I will be putting this on my saved for later list so I can get it again. The oil is light enough that it can be used after shaving if you don’t keep a beard. 5 stars would get again!

SAMSON’S HAIRCARE Beard Oil – ReviewMy son said the oil tames his beard pretty well and is moisturizing. He thinks the scent is ok. It’s a little strong, but he still likes it. He has sensitive skin and has had no issues with this product. He said he would most likely purchase it again in the future and feels like it’s a reasonable cost.

A beard newbie.
I had a beard in my younger days. I could never really grow much of a beard. It would come in sparsely in some places on my face. But now I have some skin issues on my face, so I’m growing sideburns to cover some of the scaling that occurs on my face. By using this, it does give the illusion that my beard is better than what it appears. It also gives off a very pleasant smell, which is strong at first, but dissipates quickly.

A little strong
I ordered this product for a friend of mine who is struggling with his beard care. I’ve tried previous products in the past (balms, waxes, etc), but didn’t have much luck. Overall, my buddy does like this product, with a few notable exceptions.First, the smell is pleasant, but very very strong. He doesn’t mind this so much, but for someone who is sensitive to smells, it might be a bit much. After awhile, I had to kind of distance myself from him because it was so strong.Secondly, it did leave his beard a bit oily. That wasn’t a huge issue, as it was also softening and moisturizing, but I’m afraid this could stain shirts or other clothing when used on a much longer, more substantial beard.Overall, it worked for him and I think he genuinely likes it. YMMV, of course.

Husband loves it and I like the smell
I ordered this for my husband, whose facial hair tends to get rather prickly. Although he hasn’t been using it for a very long time, he already likes the product and feels that it’s working. He thinks his beard hairs are softer to touch and that the oil is moisturizing.On my end, I love the scent. It’s citrusy and woody – two of my favorite smells. The scent is also light, refreshing, and natural – not at all cloying or cheap smelling.Great ingredients.
