Perfect kit for home use.
Ever since I broke my big toe about 20 years ago, my toe nail has never grown back properly and I get an extra toe nail that is separate from the main one along the side of the toe nail area which must be removed as after it gets long enough, it starts to separate and lift off of the other toe nail. I have always found it hard to remove it as it sits almost in a pocket of its own and it is extremely hard. Well, now that I have the clippers and lifter/nail file, it is easier for me to remove this extra nail from my toe. A lot of people get ingrown toenails especially on their feet because they do not know how to cut their toenails properly. Fingernails can be cut either straight or curved, however, toenails must be cut straight and not too short to prevent ingrown toenails from forming which can be a very painful experience from what i am told. You need to use proper toenail clippers to ensure that you are preventing this from happening. That being said, if you have the Treatonic ingrown toenail clipper removal kit, you will have the proper clippers to be able to cut through the tougher toenails which tend to be thicker than your fingernails and it allows you to get in deep without hurting your skin. The clippers are made of stainless steel for strength and durability as well as longevity of life and they contain a hidden spring which automatically reopens the clippers easily. With the dual-ended lifter and curved clipper you can lift the embedded nail edges easier and gentler than using other tools, you can remove dead skin build up and clean around and under the toenail. In fact if you have ever had a manicure or pedicure, you will notice that these are the tools that they use during your treatment. So, you can also ask them to show you how to properly use them if you don’t know how. It is important to remember that you should always work with softened nails which is why they make you soak your feet or hands prior to starting your treatment. Even doing it after a bath or a shower will help as your nails soften during these times as well. It is not sold as part of this kit but you may also want to explore getting Ingrown toenail drops which soften your nails and helps relieve pain. I highly recommend.

This set helped my MIL walk again.
I got this set to help my mother in law who is visiting and has had an injury to her big toe nail, that has resulted in it becoming detached and also with it getting ingrown. She had a pedicure done before coming to visit but it’s been over a month since she got here so, as it’s growing out, it’s become very hard and she refuses to go to a salon to have it done. Instead she trusts me to do the job for her for some reason.So I obviously HAD to order this set when I saw it.In addition to all the problems I’ve already mentioned above, her nails are hard as rock, making it extremely difficult to trim them with regular toe nail clippers, and to make matters worse, her big toe nail has become completely curved.Not really having had any experience doing this on anyone else’s toenails previously, I can safely say after using it, that this kit is amazing.To anyone who’s suffered from an ingrown toenail, you understand how difficult as well as painful it can be to remove it.I started with a LOT of apprehension before sitting down to help my mil. As I always do for myself, I made her soak her feet in warm water for 15 minutes in order to soften her nails a bit. Then I started with the dual ended lifter in order to reach the corner of the damaged nail and lift it. After lifting it out, I clipped the nail with the clipper which I advise to use with caution since it is very sharp and strong!Thankfully and sensibly enough, the clipper has a plastic cover that protects one from hurting themselves when not in use.I will admit that the long handles took me some time to get used to, but after getting comfortable with them, I’ve come to realize that it’s actually helpful to have the longer handles so you can see what you’re doing instead of having your hands block your view.In the end, I’m very grateful I saw and got this set, because my mil is feeling a lot of relief and she can walk comfortably again!Definitely recommend this set.

The clipper is sharp and precise, which means you get a clean cut without having to wrestle with the nail or struggling with getting the right angle.The grippy handle feels secure in my hand. That extra control made me feel more confident using the clippers, especially when working around sensitive areas.

Professional Quality, Very Effective, Reasonably Priced Kit
I really don’t want to share the issues I am having with a toenail or possibly two other than to say that I have had an ongoing one for quite some time. And, it wasn’t until I actually had this clipper & the stainless steel toenail tool here (I’m not sure why that sounds funny to my ears – I guess I never imagined myself requiring a “toenail tool”, lol) & using it did I ask myself why on earth hadn’t I got something like this years ago?? I can’t remember how long it’s been that I’ve suffered from sawing off bits & pieces of toenail with clippers that really weren’t designed for much more than keeping fingernails trimmed. I feel I’m getting into ‘too much information’ territory here so I’ll just say that after reading the literature & viewing the photographs, if you feel you or someone you know might benefit from a kit like this one then don’t hesitate. To me they’re about as close to professional as you’ll get & for a really reasonable price. It’s currently selling for just under $18.00 & that’s a bargain particularly given the quality of the tools themselves, & the materials from which they’re made.As a member of the Vine Program, I received this kit free of charge in exchange for sharing my experience, thoughts, etc., in review-form here. After testing a product I always ask myself the following question: Knowing what I know now about this product, would I spend my own money to purchase it? I like this Treatonic Ingrown Toenail Clipper Removal Kit because:1. It is made of high quality, surgical grade stainless steel2. The clipper is very sharp3. The handles of the clippers have a comfortable, non-slip, red grip4. The clippers come with a good safety cap to store it with, which keep the clippers closed and prevent them from poking or cutting anyone or anything.5. The clipper looks similar to some wire nippers I’ve seen which are used to cut electrical wires, so I think that could be an additional use for them.5. The straight tool has a good criss-cross pattern on the gripping surface to prevent slipping.6. The straight tool’s tips are very intricate & precise. One tip has a spoon-like shape and the other tip has a small slot in it (not unlike some surgical tools I’ve seen).7. It seems like the straight tool could be used for multiple tasks in addition to treating ingrown toenails.8. The tips of the straight tool are very well rounded so as to ensure there are absolutely no sharp edges whatsoever.Along with the set comes an instructional insert to guide users.I’m very pleased to own this set to care for toenails as well as to work on other tasks!

I come from a long line of people who have thick toenails that must be cut on the curve in order to avoid ingrown toenails. I’ve been to specialists and tried many products and clippers over the years with little success. I dread having to trim my toenails.I was somewhat hesitant with these as they don’t look robust and in fact look a bit on the fragile side in the pictures.Wrong! These are solid surgical stainless steel that fit well in the hand and have not slipped one time in my grip since I got them. They are a good weight and very manageable to get the right angle and still be able to press the handles together.Of particular importance to note is the curve on the blade which allows an easy natural cut that allows you to get that perfect cut. The tool that comes with the package also allows an easy way to get a lift if you are somewhat behind and need to get back to trim.These clippers easily cut through thick and thin nails alike and at this price it’s impossible to overstate the value for the money.

Didn’t fully work for me
These ingrown nail tools have some usefulness for me, but some aspects didn’t quite work. The clippers seem like they would be right right shape, with the curve and the pointed tip, but somehow I found them a bit difficult to use. And I had to use more strength than I’m used to in order to get them to cut. They are comfortable to hold though and I like that the handle is a little bit padded.I do like the nail lifter and think it works well. However, usually these types of tools have protective covers, and this one did not on either end. The clippers do have a cover for the blade.For $14.23 I think this set is an average value.

Treatonic Ingrown Toenail Clipper Removal Kit
This is a nice little set for clipping toenails; ingrown or not. My husband sometimes gets ingrown ones on his big toe. I don’t really get them, and he hasn’t had one since getting this set, so we haven’t had a chance yet to try out the metal pick/lifter tool yet, but the clippers do work just fine for curved edges of regular toenails. The tools seem pretty sturdy, they’re metal, so they should last. The thing I especially like about this set is that it came with a nice instruction card that gives some good pointers on how to best use the tools.Value is good. It’s currently selling for $14.43, and the tools seem like they’re durable enough you won’t have to replace them unless you lose them, so I’d say it’s probably worth that price, though I’d rather pay more around $10, but I’m cheap so YMMV on that; particularly if you’ve got an urgent need for a set like this.

Much needed
Thankfully, my ingrown toenail resolved itself before I had to resort to using this toenail clipper and removal. However, I do think that this would be an excellent item to have on hand and I am thankful that I have it on hand for next time ingrown toenails happen. The clipper is good for just maintaining toenails. Nice and trimmed and you also get a little tool. I don’t know what the name of it is, but a little tool with things on the ends of them. This tool seems like it’s going to last a long time. My only wish is that they would have included instructions with pictures because I’m a very much a picture person and for this kind of removal. I would really prefer having the pictures as I remove the ingrown toenail and not having to rely on my phone for figuring out how to do this and use the set. So it would be very nice that they include a manual with pictures of actually removing the ingrown toenails. I would recommend the set.

Metal tip bent
While I appreciate the packaging and 3 different tools, this set is not without it’s flaws. Upon first inspection, the tools seem to be well made. Sadly, the actual nail cutter has an edge/tip that is bent down. This not only is safety hazard, but makes it much less effective. They definitely need to work on quality control.

Use with caution
This set is just as described, but could come with better more comprehensive instructions.The lifter is thin and a little difficult to grip if you have big hands.It is difficult to use on your own feet, simply because of the awkwardness of reaching your own feet and the angled involved. If you have someone who can do it for you, then that definitely makes things easier.I would advise caution when using these tools, and some research or professional advice is required to make sure you are doing the right thing.The instruction advice storing it in “the provided case” but there isn’t a case provided, just a plastic cover. Other than that the tools are essentially as described.
