I’ve tried so many foot creams, but nothing works as well as these Z:SEA Foot Masks. The combination of Urea and Shea Butter is incredibly effective at softening rough callouses and repairing my cracked heels. I love that it’s a ‘gentle’ exfoliation – it doesn’t make my skin peel off in sheets like some other masks, but it definitely leaves my feet feeling baby-soft and smelling AMAZING. I picked up these foot masks because Z:SEA is a brand I have had good results with before, especially with one of their overnight face masks, so I felt comfortable trying their foot care products as well.One thing I liked right away is that these do not rely on salicylic acid like so many foot masks do. My skin can react badly to stronger exfoliating acids, especially on areas that are not heavily calloused, so I appreciated that this formula uses urea, shea butter, jojoba oil, niacinamide, and papain instead. It feels more moisturizing and much less harsh.The sock masks are easy to use. I have found they work best after a shower when the skin is already softened. You just slip the booties on, leave them for about 30 minutes, and then rinse. If you need to walk around while wearing them, putting grippy socks over them helps a lot.I wear a women’s size 9, and they fit, but they do feel a little snug, so I do think anyone with feet larger than that may find them too tight.While I usually prefer fragrance-free skincare, the scent here is tolerable, though I still think it is unnecessary.I like using these about once a week rather than multiple times a week. It gives the skin time to do its thing, especially since there can be some light peeling, though nothing like the stronger peel masks that can make your feet shed dramatically. I use a physical exfoliator the day before the next mask and then follow with another treatment the next week.At $19.99 for five masks, I think these are a good value. I ordered a box of Z:SEA Rejuvenating Moisturizing Foot Masks because I’ve tried a few different products from this brand and I’ve been impressed with how creative their personal care line has been. I was anxious to try these foot masks because warm weather is approaching and I’m ready to wear sandals again.The masks arrived in a sealed box that contained 5 pairs of masks individually sealed in foil packs to retain moisture. The masks are disposable “cloth” material that is saturated in moisturizing ingredients like shea butter, jojoba seed oil, and other plant extracts. It has a pleasant botanical scent and wraps around the foot and is self-contained in a plastic foot-shaped bag. It is meant to be worn for 15-20 minutes.The instructions were a bit confusing- I ended up cutting open the top of the mask with scissors to open it. Once my feet were inside, I was able to relax and enjoy a cup of tea. They were easy to remove when time was up and after rinsing and drying, my feet showed noticeable improvement. The skin around my heel and toes, which were dry and cracked, especially looked and felt more moisturized.I was pleased with the results of Z:SEA Foot Mask and how it came close to being a reasonably priced home spa experience. I just wish the instructions and mask application had been better.

Better design than other moisturizing socks, but also much more expensive
I’ve tried a variety of foot masks and this one is the most user-friendly I’ve found, but its effectiveness is standard and its price is very high. Overall, I won’t reorder.I’ve never really been too impressed with how moisturizing this type of sock is – it’s the exfoliating/peeling kind that makes a difference in my experience – but this one is no more lackluster than the others. Your feet will feel softer in the short term, but it doesn’t erase all dry skin and it doesn’t last. The way these outshine the others is in being more user-friendly. Several other foot masks I’ve tried have the feet sealed together where you have to use scissors to cut them apart and cut them open. You end up with lotion on your scissors, and I find it annoying to have the extra chore of cleaning them, especially right after I’ve reduced my mobility by putting plastic socks on. These don’t have that issue – the socks are stuck to each other with perforation that’s easy to tear and they’re sealed in a way that is easy to open like a bag of chips. I circled in my photo the part of the sock that makes it easier to open than other brands. I wanted to rate these higher because they really are superior to their competition in ease of use, but at $17 for 5, they’re so much more expensive in comparison. For me, the high price for a comparably-effective product outweighs the better design of these moisturizing socks.
